Late Season

What is Aryanization? What is guilt? Where are the borders of the human responsibility? A brilliant study about restitution, expiation and the long lasting effects of the war – through the story of a small town druggist assistant and a fellow traveler. Premiered in 1968 in Venice, the montage structure, framing and lighting of the film and its associations are still highly notable.
